Description:

Tactical Combat Casualty Care – MP (TCCC-Medical Provider) is designed for military medical providers as well as interagency and contract personnel.  TCCC focuses on casualty care in a tactical environment.  This is a 16-hour course for military medical personnel  including medics, corpsmen, and pararescue personnel deploying in support of combat operations.  Other military medical personnel, including nurses and physicians, are eligible to take this course.  Interagency personnel and other contract organizations may require this course as well, although NAEMT TECC would be more appropriate.

*This course includes practical application scenarios, which require rapid movements and accelerated heart rates.  You will get a little sweaty & you will get a little dirty on Day 2.  Please wear or bring appropriate clothing for tactical movements on Day 2.

This is an NAEMT TCCC – MP course (TCCC for Medical Personnel).  This is a 16-hour course for military medical personnel  including medics, corpsmen, and pararescue personnel deploying in support of combat operations.  Other military medical personnel, including nurses and physicians, are eligible to take this course.  Interagency personnel and other contract organizations may require this course as well, although NAEMT TECC would be more appropriate.  This is perfectly acceptable.

Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) is developed by the U.S. Department of Defense Defense Health Agency (DHA) Joint Trauma System to teach  evidence-based, life-saving techniques and strategies for providing the best trauma care in a hostile environment.  NAEMT conducts TCCC courses as specified by the DHA-JTS.

The foundational medical science upon which TCCC is based is published in NAEMT’s PHTLS Military textbook in which the military chapters are written by the Co-TCCC. TCCC courses offered by NAEMT are endorsed by the Joint Trauma System and the American College of Surgeons. NAEMT’s TCCC-MP and TCCC-CLS courses are accredited by CAPCE and recognized by NREMT.

This course will cover multiple tactical environment topics, to include:

  • Care Under Fire
  • Tactical Field Care
  • Massive Hemorrhage Control
  • Emergency Airway & Respiration Procedures
  • Administration of Medications to Improve Circulation
  • Hypothermia Care
  • Pain Control & Antibiotic Administration
  • Burns & Fractures
  • Communication & Evacuation Priorities
