NAEMT PHTLS Refresher 10th Ed- National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians Prehospital Trauma Life Support is recognized as the leading education program for prehospital emergency trauma care.  PHTLS is designed to improve the quality of trauma care, which significantly decreases mortality.  NAEMT PHTLS is the global gold standard in prehospital trauma education & promotes critical thinking.  This is the foundation for providing the highest quality care.  The program is based on the belief that, given a good foundation of knowledge and key principles, EMS practitioners are capable of making reasoned decisions regarding patient care.  PHTLS is appropriate for EMTs, paramedics, nurses, physician assistants, physicians, critical care transport teams & other prehospital providers.

• Initial patient assessment
• Airway
• Breathing, ventilation and oxygenation
• Circulation, hemorrhage and shock
• Various trauma considerations
• Patient simulations

*10th Edition NAEMT PHTLS is also offered in a Hybrid option.  The Hybrid option may count as an INITIAL course or a Renewal if the participant feels they need more thorough instruction.  Following Hybrid course purchase, participants will be given access to 8hrs of online modules, which must be completed prior to in-person course date.  Once the participant has access to online modules, the modules may be completed at your convenience.  The in-person day will be “day 2” of the course date.
