Our tactical medicine course offers knowledge and hands-on skills-based scenarios during life threatening emergencies.
This training provides understanding of dangerous environments to include tactical emergency response, wilderness hazards, and everyday accidents. Participants will learn by instruction, discussion, demonstration, and proper hands-on techniques.
Our course will empower you with confidence to perform immediate life saving interventions when called upon. Tac-Med places an emphasis on special considerations during an active threat situation under various stressors.

Where do you train?
Our primary center is located in San Antonio, Texas but we can train anywhere! We have instructors based in Austin, Dallas, and Houston.
Can I request a private course & train at my location?
Yes. Strategic Trauma Solutions is a mobile-ready organization. We can mobilize to any organization to provide customized facility-specific training.
What certifications do I get?
It depends on the course & your needs. We provide nationally recognized certifications for NAEMT TECC and NAEMT TCCC (Tiers 1, 2, & 3). Upon request, we can also include certifications for CPR, First Aid, and/or Stop The Bleed at a discounted rate. We add a little time to the course to meet the appropriate requirements.
Is this training only for tactical teams or military?
Absolutely not. The word ‘tactical’ merely refers to everyday operational decisions. Tactics & procedures are used everyday by first responders, medical personnel, and anywhere a high-risk decisions are involved. Firefighters, lifeguards, and oil-field make high-risk safety decisions all the time. Our courses drive home this concept.
Which Operational Medicine course is right for me?
NAEMT TCCC (Tier 1, 2, or 3) is right for any and all military personnel. NAEMT TECC is right for all law enforcement, EMS, Fire, security, or executive protection services. Operational Medicine or Tac Med is right for anyone who likes to hike, hunt, fish, shoot, spend time outdoors, or wants to be prepared for any situation. Anything to want to be better prepared to care for yourself, your family, your teammates, or your community.
Do these courses include live-fire?
No, they do not. However; our partnership with Tactical Cooperative can include separate live-fire training that helps to reinforce the concepts of Operational Medicine. These course may be held in conjunction with Operational Medicine courses to help conceptualize training profiles.
