American Heart Association ACLS is for healthcare professionals who either direct or participate in the management of adult cardiopulmonary arrest or other cardiovascular emergencies and for personnel in many clinical care settings, including EMS providers, emergency departments, intensive care units, transport teams, or other critical care settings.
The American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) course delivers the knowledge, critical thinking skills & hands-on training needed to address life-threatening events in order improve a patient's chances of survival. Research has shown that healthcare providers who have received ACLS certification are likely to perform effective resuscitation and achieve better patient outcomes.
